First Foods

For the last few weeks we have been trying out some solid foods with Xavier. He's not crazy about rice cereal but he seems to like squash a lot!

5 Months and Growing... Finally!

I took Xavier to get weighed today and he was 13 lbs 5 oz. He gained almost 2 pounds in the last month, and I think he may actually be on the growth chart now!

Sleepy Baby

The other day I was folding laundry and Xavier was playing with his lion on our bed. He got pretty quiet so when I looked over to see what he was doing I found my little angel had fallen asleep hugging his lion. So precious!

The Beach!

Last week we went to Aptos for a few days and stayed in a motel by the beach. We spent a day in Santa Cruz and another in Capitola, as well as just enjoyed the ocean and the beautiful weather!

4 Months Already!?

Earlier this week we took Xavier for his 4 month well baby check-up.

Current Stats: 11 lbs 7 oz, 23 inches 

He laughs, squeals, stands up with his hands being held, rolled over from tummy to back on May 18th, and is generally a very happy baby. 

We've also been able to start transitioning to 3 month size clothing in the last couple weeks, woo-hoo! 

We talked with his doctor about his size and have decided to just see where he goes because he is meeting all his milestones and seems healthy despite being small (about 1st percentile for weight and height). That and the kid just won't eat a lot, and I can't make him!

On another note, Leiakkoni had his 6th grade promotion and will be a middle schooler next year, yikes!

3 Month Pictures

Little man was a bit tired so we didn't get the great smiles he usually gives, but I think we were still able to capture the cuteness!

 

3 Months!

Since last update, I am happy to share that Xavier's labs are okay, and he gained good weight with the fortifying. We are now just waiting on a referral to a nutritionist to better determine how to feed the little guy so he continues to gain adequately. The day before he turned 3 months Xavier weighed 8 lbs 15 oz and was 22 inches long. He is getting incredibly strong, loves to sit upright and even stand with a little support. He is such a happy baby and his smile makes me melt every time! He loves to talk and laugh and loves to stuff his hands so far into his mouth that he gags himself. We had some 3 month pictures done that I will post shortly!
